چکیده
• Environmental externalities are crucial to sustainability assessments. Economical plus monetised LCA impacts provides an estimate of true cost hydrogen. Ten hydrogen production technologies were assessed and compared on monetary basis. At present, steam methane reforming with CCS emerged as the most promising option. Hydrogen has been identified a potential energy vector decarbonise transport chemical sectors achieve global greenhouse gas reduction targets. Despite ongoing efforts, often focusing their warming while overlooking other impacts, or at including additional metrics that not easily interpretable. Herein, wide range alternative have determine total by coupling life-cycle assessments economic evaluation environmental production. By values human health, ecosystem quality, resources top levelised production, estimation “real” was obtained transparently rank technologies. The study herein covers (SMR), coal biomass gasification, pyrolysis, electrolysis from renewable nuclear Monetised found represent significant percentage cost, ultimately altering standard ranking SMR coupled carbon capture storage emerges cheapest option, followed water wind nuclear. results identify ranges for (business usual) externalities, thereby helping pinpoint critical barriers emerging competing SMR.

متن کاملDetermination of Optimum Insulation Thickness for Building Walls in Iran Using Life Cycle Cost Analysis
Air-Conditioning (AC) systems are responsible for a considerable portion of the energy consumption in buildings located in high cooling load requiring regions of Iran. In addition, the heat flow through the buildingschr('39') external walls plays a major role in cooling load estimations for the countrychr('39')s hot regions. Therefore, application of insulation materials in external walls has g...
متن کاملEvaluation of the environmental impact of broiler chicken production by industrial and traditional methods using the Life Cycle Assessment
Poultry meat with a high share in the food consumption is one of the most basic products for supplying protein to households. Due to the high amount of pollutants in this part, the environmental impact of the production of this product is necessary. In the present study, the environmental impact of broiler chicken production in both industrial and traditional breeding methods were evaluated ...
